Delaware Land Surveyors Continuing Education Courses

Here is a summary of the engineering continuing education requirements mandated by the Delaware Board of Professional Engineers. Continuing Education or PDH is known as Continuing Professional competency (CPC) in Delaware.

Renewal period June 30 of even numbered years
Provider approval The Board does not pre-approve course providers.
Course content approval
  1. A minimum of 3 PDH in Ethics not to exceed 6 PDH hours.
  2. 9 PDH courses can be taken in business skills or project management skills.
  3. The remaining PDH hours should be in the licensee’s field of practice
  4. For the licensees who are dual license in Engineering and Land Surveying a minimum of 12 hours should be in technical land surveying courses.
Any course with a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the licensee's field of practice. Subject matter which is technical in nature or addresses business management practices, professional ethics, quality assurance, codes or other similar topics which facilitate the licensee's professional development as a professional engineer and serves to safeguard life, health and property and promote the public welfare.

Online courses Accepted, there is no limit on the number of online courses taken.
